Armando Llechu is Chief Officer of Hospital Operations and Women and Children’s Services at Lee Health in Fort Myers and he previously served as Chief Administrative Officer for Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.
He also led a team in collaboration with Lee Physicians Group in the development of a comprehensive pediatric mental and behavioral health program, including the addition of 12 mental health providers, resulting in a 1000% increase in available patient appointments.

Dr. Jordan Von Cannon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Language and Literature at FGCU and is currently completing a manuscript called Idle Women which considers female resistance to U.S. industriousness in 19th-century narratives.

She is also writing a book on U.S. and Chinese media representation of Tibet.

Gwynetta S. Gittens was the first Black person, man or woman, ever to be elected to the school board in Lee County, in 2018 - a position she still holds today. She received her bachelors and masters degrees in psychology from University of Maryland and University of Indiana while living in Puerto Rico, and has a masters of education from Nova Southeastern University.

Hugh Starnes is a retired Judge who stepped down last year, in order to speak out about what he sees as, “deep, serious flaws in our society” including systemic racism.
In his resignation letter to Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice, Charles Canady, Starnes wrote, “My value system will not allow me to sit silently by while our society struggles to deal with these flaws that tear at the very fabric of our society and democracy, and worse, while the upper echelon of our federal government appears to be aggravating these flaws rather than attempting to solve them. This presents an irreconcilable conflict with my position as a judge, bound by judicial ethics that require me to say nothing.”
